PROJECT AURORA: APPLIED BIOACOUSTICS
Project Aurora investigates the frontier between bioacoustics and enology. In collaboration with Cascina Giovinale, we test whether the reintroduction of processed biosignals can positively influence wine quality.
THE 3-PHASE PROTOCOL
PHASE 1: ACQUISITION (The Listening)
Collecting multimodal biosignals from Vitis vinifera (cv. Barbera) during critical phenological stages.
- Ultrasonic Emission: 20-200 kHz (Xylem cavitation monitoring).
- Electrophysiology: Vessel action potentials measurement.
- Focus: Bud break, Flowering, Veraison.
PHASE 2: SONIFICATION (The Harmony)
Processing raw data through the proprietary Aurora Temperament 1618 system.
- Proprietary Algorithm: Transforming biological data into harmonic structures based on the Golden Ratio (φ).
- Output: Site-specific sonic maps reflecting the plant's physiological state.
PHASE 3: APPLICATION (The Treatment)
Non-invasive bioacoustic stimulation applied exclusively in the cellar.
- Yeasts: Modulation of metabolic activity during fermentation.
- Barrels: Bioacoustic resonance aiding polymerization and aging.
- Goal: Objective improvement of aromatic profile and polyphenol stability.
